Behind the Scenes of the Faculty Council!
The days are short, the temperature is low, the holiday season is behind us and tests are coming. But the faculty council hasn’t been idle. During Faculty Council Meeting 3 on December 10th, we approved the faculty allocation model and reviewed the OER.
What does the student section of the faculty council do?
Each week, the seven student members of the faculty council meet to discuss important topics within the faculty and prepare for decision-making or providing advice. These meetings, led by our chair Dewi, ensure we’re ready for future approvals. Additionally, student members participate in program committee meetings and other discussions, such as:
- The external chairpersons’ meeting
- Meetings with the faculty board (FB)
- Preparatory meetings with program committees (OC) and the Board of Studies (BOS)
- The presidium, where the agenda for the faculty council meeting is set
The most significant meeting remains the faculty council meeting itself, where the council and the faculty board come together to discuss and decide on key policy documents.
During the most recent meeting, we discussed the faculty allocation model and the OER, among other topics.
Curious about how a faculty council meeting works, or interested in joining the faculty council next year? You’re always welcome to attend a meeting! The next one is on February 4th.
Best regards, and happy holidays!
