Annual themes student delegation
Each year, the student delegation of the Faculty Council (FR) focuses on a few annual themes. Alongside their standard tasks—keeping an eye on the work of the faculty board and providing both requested and pro-active advice—the FR is also free to dive into specific topics. This could mean conducting research, offering advice, or starting a project around a chosen theme.
These annual themes guide the work we’ll focus on throughout the year. At the start of the year, the FR creates a plan with goals to aim for. At the end of the year, we reflect on the steps taken and the goals we’ve achieved.
For the coming year, we’ve chosen four themes:
- Current and Inclusive Education
- Digitalization
- Effective Budget Cuts
- Collaboration Between Study Associations and the Faculty
- Strengthening Student Input
Below, you can read more about our goals and ambitions for each theme. Got ideas, concerns, or feedback about these topics? We’d love to hear them! You can email us or chat with us when you see us around. Your input helps us represent students’ voices 🙂
Here’s what the student delegation will focus on in 2024/2025:
- Current and Inclusive Education: We want to make current topics open for discussion and create an inclusive environment where students feel comfortable talking about what matters to them.
- Digitalization: Researching digital challenges like the bring-your-own-device policy and AI use, aiming to tackle inequalities.
- Effective Budget Cuts: Assessing how budget cuts impact education and ensuring students have a say in this process.
- Collaboration Between Study Associations and the Faculty: Improving communication and teamwork between study associations and the faculty to boost their value for both students and the faculty.
- Strengthening Student Input: Building a strong community within the council and encouraging more student participation in education.
In short: these are important themes we’ll work hard on in the coming year to make a difference!
