The Faculty Council consists of fourteen members, seven of whom are staff members. Every two years, the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences holds elections to fill these staff seats.

In addition to meetings with the entire council, the staff delegation of the Faculty Council meets approximately six times a year with the Faculty Board.

In these meetings, the staff section provides advice to the Faculty Board on proposed measures regarding:

• The way employment and service conditions are applied at the faculty
• The way the general personnel policy is carried out at the faculty
• Safety, health, and well-being related to work within the faculty
• The organization and working methods within the faculty
• The technical and economic service delivery at the faculty

In addition to advisory rights, the staff delegation has the right of consent on certain matters. Article 25 of the faculty regulations (Dutch) describes the formal duties of the staff delegation.
